Let’s get this out of the way first: no, this is not a practical camera. And it’s not trying to be.This is a tiny, keychain-sized novelty camera, and the question isn’t whether it replaces your phone—it absolutely does not. The question is whether it’s fun, functional for what it is, and delivers on the experience it promises. For me, the answer is yes across the board. It is actually tiny. Not “small gadget” tiny—legitimately keyring tiny. You can clip it onto your keys or bag and forget it’s there until you want to grab a quick shot. If you go into this expecting a real camera, you’re going to miss the point. If you go into it wanting something fun, tiny, and surprisingly usable for what it is, it absolutely delivers.
It's Got a Vibe. The LOOX 84 gives you that classic 80s camera feel — and I mean that in the best way. I just leave it around the house and use it for random memories, home video style. Feels like 1984 again.
OMG! I absolutely love this camera! It is sooo retro! Tiny little camera. It's got a screen on it so you know what your aiming for. Takes a micro sd. Also has different settings for each shot. Very simple to use. Sooo fun! Functions extremely well! Picture quality is great for what it is. Comes with a chain to hang it with. I'd say it's a great value! I am so buying these for Christmas gifts this year! Absolutely satisfied with purchase and highly recommend!
This little keychain camera is clearly a response to a certain blindbox keychain camera by a famous film company. Sadly I do not have one of those to compare so will be reviewing on its own. It's a tiny little camera with a small screen on the back and the tiniest optical viewefinder (really just a hole) that you'll ever see.As long as you go into using this camera with the appropriate expectations, it can be a lot of fun. It shoots 1080p video and photos but please note that it does require a MicroSD card for storage and does not come with one.Its internal battery charges via USB-C which is great to see, but the battery does not last very long so expect to charge it regularly if you use it.Picture quality is a different matter; you will not be shooting professional photos with this little camera. Think closer to cellphone quality from the early 2000s. Fun, for sure, and if you want a vintage look for your photos the JPGs that come out of this camera may be right up your alley. It's also so small and lightweight that you can carry it literally on a keychain or in your bag for quick snaps.
I have to take a moment and pause when I see 1984 and Kodak-like color schemes on a digital camera that's meant to attach to a keyring; quite a throwback. It's a cute little device that offers effortless digital photo snapping on something that can be operated with two fingers. You can also take videos and store everything on the included 16GB micro SD card, so you're ready to go right out of the package. This camera is all about novelty and convenience. The firmware on this device is ancient, but that doesn't matter. It snaps pictures quickly enough, can handle voice and video, and even has a motion detection mode. Don't expect super-high quality pictures; 3MB resolution at the most. I've attached a sample for reference. You get a nice chain keyring so you can attach it to places for group fun, like guestbook or sign-in sheet. I've not been able to get it to recognize on a laptop via USB, so you'll have to remove the memory card and either use adapter they provide or some card reader to see your media. I would have really like to have seen the camera double as the card reader and not worry about dropping the tiny card.Overall, you're looking at a bargain version of the official retro-style thumb camera that honestly offers that majority of the value for less than half the cost. Worth considering, as most people will not notice it's not the genuine item, like I did at first.
This camera is palm size but loads of fun. I've seen a similar one on Instagram being used by F1 pit crews to capture fun pictures. It comes with both a chain, like a lanyard, and a keychain attachment. It is rechargeable and comes with the usual cord to plug into a wall plug or a laptop. The picture quality is really good, check out the pic of my pup. You can take pics or video and even a child could figure out how to point and click, super easy to use. This can fit into a purse or a pocket to go anywhere that you do. It is very popular with the younger crowd. Just be sure that you have a micro sim card or you won't be able to actually use the camera.
This little portable keychain camera is exactly what it looks like, a tiny, fun, novelty type camera that you take with you more for the experience than for serious image quality. I brought it along on a day trip to Key West with my wife, and we spent the day walking all over, and I used it to grab snapshots here and there along the way.The size is obviously the main appeal. It is extremely small and portable, about the size of a pack of Juicy Fruit gum, maybe a little thicker and a bit shorter. It weighs next to nothing, around 26 grams, so it is very easy to carry around. You could absolutely use it as a keychain since it comes with that option as an anti loss feature, but I personally do not like bulky keys in my pocket, so I just kept it in a small bag. It would also clip nicely onto a backpack.Visually, it is actually pretty cute. For the price, it is inexpensive enough that it feels like a harmless pickup. Just go into it knowing exactly what it is, a cute, tiny camera that is more about fun than performance.
I saw this tiny thing up for review and had to check it out, being a camera nerd.Sadly, I did not have a spare card to put in it so I could not take photos and videos or audio to check the quality.I DID have a cable to test the PC camera functionality, though! It works pretty well! It is not HD when being used as a PC camera but since you're likely going to be in a small video window anyways that isn't a huge issue. This thing is TINY. LITERALLY the size of my thumb, which makes it very portable. Slip it anywhere, keyring, necklace, lighter pocket, center console of your vehicle, wherever! The tiny design is great and functional, with enough buttons to handle working all of the modes the camera has to offer. There are also a ton of filter modes you can pick from for a color choice, which add fun to the camera's use. Decent value for the money in my opinion, I just wish I had a spare card so I could have tested the photograph and video quality.
So cute and crappy and I love it! its funny how a digital camera can be nostalgic but this little baby brings me back to my youth. the image quality is..ya...know... low res but that's what I wanted. it says 1080p but the max is 12 MP i think so its pretty low quality. Please note that when you open the images on your computer they will be in a different aspect ratio than you see on the back of the camera. photo 1 is straight out of camera, photo i used Photoshop to stretch the image to look more accurate. the audio for video sounds fine as long as you don't change any settings. if you do you will hear the beep sound obscure the audio. but i think you can turn that off in the settings. You can also hear any movement of your fingers on the case of the camera. there was surprisingly more settings than I realized when i held down the play button. you can also change the "filter" by using the arrow buttons. i dont think many of them are all that useful but a nice to have I suppose. the view finder is hilariously small and i doubt ill use it but its cute.it comes with a micro SD card, card reader (careful with this as it seems a little flimsy), charging cord and a USB C to USB adapter. as well as a little chain for the camera. I expect it will be a fun thing to have around and am happy with the camera.
Obsessed and always snapping photos with this portable red mini digicam! It captures surprisingly clear 1080P photos and videos directly to my microSD card but that’s not always the case but user error could be the problem as well . It’s the perfect keychain charm for vlogging especially if you have kids that always want your phone when your out at the beach or on a drive, but I also use it as a crisp webcam plug it in to your computer with the provided usb cord and it can also be used asa security camera that would be the motion sensor feature its brilliant it triggers 30 second recordings whenever movement is detected. For such a tiny device, the audio and image quality shows technology has come a long way small and mighty. It’s fun to use !
I wanted to get a simple digital camera for my daughter because she loves taking photos. Based on the size and simplicity of this thumb camera, I thought it would be perfect for her, so I ordered it.This camera is small and easy to take on-the-go. It fits into any size bag, but can also be a great addition to my daughter's keychain. The quality of the photos are okay, but considering the size of the camera, they're decent. It charges quickly, but the battery life does not last long. After two 20-second videos, an audio voice recording and approximately 15 photos, the battery died, when it was on full battery prior to use.You can change the style of the picture prior to taking the photo; such as black and white, paper white and solid colors (blue, green, yellow, red, etc.). A micro-SD card is needed to save the photos, which is not included. Once it's installed, the photos are easy to transfer to the computer. The audio does sound muffled, and it's on the quieter side. The video is standard quality, and the sound is also quieter than expected.Overall, this thumb camera can be taken on-the-go and takes standard quality photos, but the battery life and sound quality could be better.
This Keychain Camera Loox 84 won't deliver jaw-dropping images that will impress an adult, but your kiddo will likely love how cute, fun and simple it is to use. Retro Loox has done a great job at building a very retro looking and cute sounding camera. Images can be taken and reviewed right on the back of the camera's little screen and easily enough, can be transferred to a computer or tablet through it's MicroSD Card slot. There is no internal storage on the camera, so you'll need to budget for a MicroSD card in order to use it. Each photo you take with it inspires fun from the very joyful sounds it emits. If you're looking for something to test your kid's interests in taking photos, this could be an easy way to see if they truly enjoy it, without overcomplicating things with a more advanced camera. Alternatively, it could be a cute decoration for your desk, shelf or maybe even hanging from the review mirror. The clap and chain seen in the photos are included in the box as well.An easy spend for a fun little toy for your kids, but don't expect professional images out of it. It is very rudimentary in terms of image quality but the camera itself seems to be constructed well.
This mini keychain micro thumb camera is absolutely adorable and much smaller than you expect when you first see it. Despite its tiny size, it works surprisingly well and captures video more reliably than I anticipated. It is easy to carry around on a keychain or toss into a bag, and it feels well made for something so compact. The novelty factor is definitely there, but it also functions as a usable little camera rather than just a toy.Battery life is reasonable and actually quite good considering how small the device is. It lasts long enough for short clips and casual use without needing constant recharging. My only real wish is that it included internal memory, as needing to use a card adds a small extra step. That said, the overall performance, size, and charm more than make up for it. This is a fun, clever little gadget that performs well for its size and is easy to recommend.
First off, I am a huge fan and collectors of mini items and figurines. Functional mini versions of Retro Loox 84 are a huge bonus! I absolutely love that this camera is only keychain sized yet is fully functional! There is a tiny view window or you can use the digital screen to see. It can take pictures, videos, and record audio. I had an extra 16gb card so I put it in the slot and it works great. It charges with USB C which I have cables all over the house so that is very convenient. There are quite a few options and functions. The manual comes in several languages and is quite small. I had to break out the magnifying but the directions were easy to read and thorough. It is fun to use and easy to tuck away. This will be so fun to use at Mardis Gras this year! The buttons are perfectly sized for use with a small form factor too. The only thing I didn't care for was it auto turns on when plugging it in which is no big deal. Just takes an extra second turn it off again. It plays a chime when turning on and off. I have yet to see if I can turn that off. It brings back the memories of spy cameras from my childhood.
For what you're getting, this is definitely a toy for a young child. The Loox 84 camera is VERY small and compact and comes with a necklace to wear the camera around your neck or something if you wanted. The red color is nice and bright. This little camera is cute, but I feel it may fall into a drawer and stay there. Maybe kids have less expectations. It has lots of filters that seem like simple coloring effects. Nothing really special here but could be fun in the right hands.Overall, this may be great for a child, I feel like there could be better cameras out there. This is fun, but silly at the same time.Technical Specs:Videos: The camera records 1080p and 720p video. It films with audio if you want but be aware the audio breaks up from time to time and stops being in sync with the video. Audio is mono and is recording at 16 kHz. This is a VERY simple camera setup here. Bitrate for both camera and audio is 256 kbps which isn't the best, but it'll do for a child trying to have some simple fun!Photos: Highest quality photos show "4032x2880 pixels, 24 bit depth, 72 dpi horizontal and vertical resolution, and sRGB color representation. Image data shows a 7mm lens."Images show up needing to be unstretched to see the normal photo as they seem almost squished like shooting anamorphic.
definitely isn't 1080p lol, but I think that's the point. It's got this old school flip phone camera look to it that actually feels really nostalgic. Feels like I'm in 2007 again. I love how small it is. You feel like you just point and shoot, like the old days. No like lining up and framing This everything perfectly. There's actually a really small color screen on it, so you can see what you're shooting. I just leave it around the house and use it to capture random memories, like home video style. It comes with all these different filters that are kinda interesting. But I just stick with the default. Connects to the computer really easily, didn't give me a virus lol, and you can even use it as a webcam once connected!! Kinda crazy. Doesn't come with micro SD card though, so consider that an extra cost.OH: note — pretty slow shutter speed, so hold still!
I’m seriously impressed with this ultra-portable thumb camera! It’s incredibly compact (about the size of a key fob) and super lightweight at just 26g, making it effortless to carry anywhere. The built-in keychain is such a smart anti-loss feature — I keep mine attached to my bag, and it doubles as a fun little accessory thanks to the cool vintage radio design.Despite its tiny size, the 1080P HD video quality is crystal clear, and the 130° wide-angle lens captures more of the scene than you’d expect. It’s perfect for travel, quick vlogs, campus life, cycling, or just recording everyday moments hands-free. The built-in flashlight is a fantastic bonus for low-light situations, and the battery life is surprisingly reliable for such a small device.`Stylish, functional, and easy to use — this mini keychain camera delivers way beyond expectations. Absolutely a 5-star gadget with great fun value, for students, travelers, and anyone who loves capturing life on the go!
I received this mini keychain camera through the Amazon Vine program and tested it over several days for casual photos and short video clips. The biggest highlight is definitely the size and portability. It’s extremely small and lightweight—easy to attach to a bag or keychain, which makes it fun to carry around. The design (especially the red color) is eye-catching and works well as a cute accessory or gift, especially for kids or teens.Video quality is decent for such a tiny device. The advertised 1080P is usable in good lighting, but don’t expect the same clarity you’d get from a smartphone or full-size camera. In lower light, the footage becomes noticeably grainy. Audio recording is basic but works for simple clips. On the downside, the controls can be a bit confusing at first since there are limited buttons and minimal instructions. Also, the small size means the battery life isn’t very long, and storage capacity is limited depending on the memory card you use.Overall, this is a fun, novelty-style camera that’s great for casual use, kids, or as a quirky gift. If you’re looking for high-quality photography or serious vlogging, this won’t replace your phone or a dedicated camera—but for portability and fun, it does the job.
It is really awesome and comes with all the parts you need it to and im really looking forward to using
I take photos all the time, so anything that gives me a new way to capture moments, I’m in. This little camera is honestly just fun. That’s the best way to describe it.First off, it’s tiny. Like keychain tiny. You can clip it onto your bag and forget it’s even there until you want to grab a quick shot. And when you do, it’s super easy to use. No complicated setup, just point, click, and go.The vibe is what really sold me. It has that retro feel with the filters and the way the photos come out. It’s not trying to compete with your phone camera, and it shouldn’t. It’s more about the experience and the look, and it delivers on that.I’ve been using it just for fun, grabbing random moments, and it honestly gives you that little hit of excitement when you get something cool and unexpected. If you’re into creative shots or just want something different from the usual phone photos, this is it.It also comes with a memory card and reader, which makes it easy to transfer everything over without extra hassle. For the price, the value for money is there. You’re getting a fun, functional little camera that actually gets used, not something that just sits in a drawer. If you had handed this to me 25 years ago, I would’ve been completely obsessed. Honestly, I still kind of am.Another day, another great find to keep the music and memories going.
